Field & Iron is a spinoff of 300 Justice Road, our long-time barbecue team established in 2001. We're a motley crew of college buddies and military/ex-military badasses. Our mission truly began in 2022, our first year to participate in the Houston World Championship BBQ Cookoff. Six months prior, a good buddy of the team and Navy SEAL, Brian "Booj" Bourgeois, lost his life. The cookoff team carries forward Booj's spirit of service by supporting veterans, first responders, and communities in need.
The flooding in Kerr County hit all Texans hard. 300 Justice Road and ex-military personnel from the team were some of the first groups on the scene - cooking meals for anyone in need and searching for individuals lost in the flood. The SEAL Future Foundation was integral in coordinating additional personnel coming in from across the country.
