300 Justice Road Cookoff Team/300JR Foundation

Field & Iron is a spinoff of 300 Justice Road, our long-time barbecue team, established in 2001.  We're a motley crew of college buddies and military/ex-military badasses.  Our mission truly began in 2022, our first year to participate in the Houston World Championship BBQ Cookoff.  Six months prior, a good buddy of the team and Navy SEAL Commander, Brian "Booj" Bourgeois, lost his life in a training exercise.  The cookoff team carries forward Booj's spirit of service by supporting veterans, first responders, and communities in need. 

In 2025, the 300 Justice Road Foundation was established to assist Navy SEALs transitioning out of service, help train local police and help in search and rescue operations.  The team is also honored to work with the SEAL Future Foundation both during the cookoff and as needed year-round.    

During the flooding in Kerr County in the summer of 2025, 300JR served thousands of meals and assisted for weeks with search and recovery efforts.  The team is humbled to have received First Responder Volunteer Group of the Year by the HLSR Armed Forces/First Responder Committee for the efforts made during the flooding in Kerr County. 300 Justice Road also received the first ever Community Impact Award by the HLSR.
